Virgin Media O2, in collaboration with Internet Matters, has launched an innovative online safety campaign titled "Find the Right Words" aimed at helping parents engage in meaningful conversations with their children about staying safe online.
The campaign is a response to the findings from Virgin Media O2 and Internet Matters’ Hidden Risks research, which surveyed over 4,000 UK parents and carers of children. The research revealed a significant gap in understanding how to protect children on the internet:
The "Find the Right Words" campaign aims to bridge this gap by raising awareness through a powerful film that underscores the importance of early conversations about online safety.
In addition to the film, Virgin Media O2 and Internet Matters, in partnership with leading children’s charity Action for Children and digital inclusion charity Good Things Foundation, have developed new, free guides. These resources are designed to support parents and carers in keeping their families safe online.
This campaign is part of Virgin Media O2’s broader sustainability strategy, the Better Connections Plan, which aims to improve the digital skills of six million people by the end of 2025.
